The Smart Africa Alliance, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has launched the Innovate Africa Challenge 2026, a regional competition aimed at identifying and supporting innovative startups using artificial intelligence (AI) to transform agriculture across Africa. The initiative seeks to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies that improve food production, strengthen climate resilience and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
