Both Presidents expressed their determination to maintain peace and solidarity between the two nations. Together, they announced an intent to merge the business councils of Tanzania and Kenya to create a unified business council, which will accelerate the integration process between the two countries.
KCB Bank aims to solidify its position as an East African trade bridge through several key pillars:
- Trade Finance: Simplifying cross-border transactions to ease the movement of goods and services.
- Corporate Banking: Supporting large-scale industrial and infrastructure investments.
- Integrated Financial Solutions: Providing seamless banking services for customers across the entire region.
Furthermore, the forum addressed several critical areas for regional growth, including identifying significant trade prospects that remain unexploited between Tanzania and Kenya, mobilizing governments to accelerate private sector participation, establishing a long-term trade roadmap for the region and formulating strategies to form trade partnerships that fully leverage the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Building upon the momentum established during this year’s high-level deliberations in Dar es Salaam, it has been officially confirmed that the Tanzania-Kenya Business Forum will transition to its next phase in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2027.
