Dar es Salaam, 31st March 2026. KCB Bank Tanzania has officially launched a partnership with Mixx by Yas to issue agent digital loans. This collaboration aims to transform financial services and expand access across the country. The launch event took place at KCB Bank’s Head Office in Dar es Salaam.

This strategic partnership leverages KCB Bank’s financial strength and Mixx by Yas’ extensive agent network of over 200,000, creating a powerful ecosystem to reach more Tanzanians. A key feature of this collaboration is the launch of Bustisha Wakala, a strategic overdraft solution designed to ensure reliable liquidity for agents, enabling continuous delivery of financial services to citizens.

''Agents are more than service providers—they are critical bridges connecting millions of Tanzanians to financial services. Liquidity challenges have long hindered service delivery and trust in the system. Through Bustisha Wakala, we provide agents with access to funds when they need them, ensuring uninterrupted service and sustainable economic opportunities.''

''This partnership is a convergence of vision, innovation, and shared commitment to building an inclusive financial ecosystem. When we empower one agent, we empower hundreds of customers. When we strengthen the system, we strengthen the economy.''

Since the pilot launch on 27th February 2026, KCB Bank has enabled over 7,000 agents through this initiative. The program is expected to scale rapidly through Mixx by Yas’ network, further enhancing financial inclusion and empowering local businesses.

Speaking at the launch, Mixx by Yas CEO Ms Angelica Pesha emphasized the importance of equipping agents with the right financial tools to sustain and scale their operations. She stressed that by enabling agents to access instant digital credit, Mixx is reinforcing its commitment to driving economic empowerment, strengthening agent reliability, and enhancing customer trust in digital financial services.

"We are committed to building solutions that truly empower our agents, who are at the heart of financial inclusion in Tanzania. This partnership with KCB Bank allows us to go beyond payments and provide meaningful financial support that helps agents grow their businesses, serve customers better, and operate with confidence. Bustisha Wakala is more than a product; it’s a catalyst for economic resilience and opportunity at the grassroots level."
